Questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free plan doesn't ask for a card, and it doesn't expire.
How many devices can I use?
As many as you want. Native apps on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, plus the web app, all on the same account. Every plan has no device cap. There is no Android app.
Does the free plan have ads?
No. There are no ads or promoted posts on any plan. Free accounts see one small notice when they get close to the 150-feed limit.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. If you downgrade, you'll keep access to your current plan until the end of your billing period.
What happens to my articles if I downgrade?
All feeds keep 90 days of history regardless of plan. The difference is how long your saved articles (starred, in Read Later, or in a folder) stick around. If you go from Pro back to Free, saved articles older than 90 days are cleaned up on the next cycle.
Is there a yearly plan?
Not yet. We're keeping things simple for now. If enough people ask for it, we'll add one.
How does billing work?
Web purchases go through Polar, our merchant of record. Polar handles invoicing and sales tax, and your invoice shows "Polar Software, Inc." If you subscribe inside our iOS or macOS app, Apple bills your Apple Account and provides the receipt. Either way, your card details stay with the payment processor; we never see them.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Open Manage subscription in your settings and cancel there; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. App Store subscriptions are cancelled in your Apple Account settings.
What counts as a "feed"?
Each RSS or Atom URL you subscribe to counts as one feed. If a site publishes separate feeds for different sections, each one counts on its own.
What does the Team plan's shared feeds feature do?
Everyone on the team shares the same feeds and folders. When one person adds a feed, it shows up for everybody. Handy if your team reads from the same sources and you don't want five people each maintaining their own list.
What can I do with the API?
Build automations like daily digest emails, feed health monitors, and export pipelines. You can also connect your feeds to AI agents. Available on Pro and Team plans.
